Voters in Collier County rushed to the polls Monday as the final week of early voting in the Republican presidential preference primary kicked off.
On Monday, 1,609 people voted at the seven sites throughout Collier County, bringing the total of early voters to 7,489, according to the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office. Monday was the busiest day at the local polls since early voting began last week.
In the first six days, a little fewer than 6,000 people went to the polls in Collier. Early voting ends Saturday.
Early voting in Collier County is offered Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations:
■ Everglades City Hall, 102 Copeland Ave. N., Everglades City
■ Naples City Hall, 735 8th St. S., Naples
■ Supervisor of Elections Office, Government Complex, 3295 U.S. 41 E., East Naples
■ Marco Island Library, 210 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco
■ Golden Gate Library, 2432 Lucerne Road, Golden Gate
■ Library Headquarters, 2385 Orange Blossom Drive, North Naples
■ Immokalee Library, 417 N. First St., Immokalee
Early voting in south Lee County is offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:
■ Bonita Springs Branch Office, Coconut Commerce Center, 24951 Old 41 Road, No. 10, Bonita Springs
■ Election Center South Branch Office, 13180 U.S. 41, Fort Myers (across from the Bell Tower Shops)
Eligible voters are reminded to bring a current photo and signature identification to the polls. Acceptable forms of identification include a Florida Driver License, Florida ID card, U.S. passport, debit or credit card, military ID, student ID, retirement center ID, neighborhood association ID or public assistance ID. If your photo ID does not include your signature, you will be required to provide an additional form of identification that provides your signature.
