Deputies: Alert neighbors help catch 3 burglarizing home

After three suspects were spotted breaking into a home, a friend and next door neighbor thwarted a burglary of a large flat screen television.

Corrina Thorpe, 24, of the 3700 block of Fieldstone Boulevard, East Naples, Matthew Mcaleer, 26, of no fixed address, Golden Gate, and Neal Troiano, 23, of St. Matthews House, East Naples, were arrested Tuesday by Collier deputies at Golden Gate Boulevard and 14th Street Southeast.

According to arrest reports, when the victim's friend arrived at the residence to let his dog out, he spotted two men standing at the front door with a large flat screen 3D television in their arms.

The witness said the two men took off running leaving the TV behind when they noticed they had been seen.

The victim's neighbor told deputies that he also witnessed the incident and that he had a surveillance system around his house which was able to capture the incident.

Deputies said they then located the three suspects driving in a black sedan and conducted a traffic stop.

The three were identified as Thorpe, Mcaleer and Troiano, according to reports.

Each face felony charges of burglary and grand theft.
