Clearwater man struck, killed by car driven by his wife

CLEARWATER — Deputies say a man was apparently struck and killed by a vehicle driven by his wife as the two were arguing at their mobile home park in Clearwater.

When Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene Sunday, they found 54-year-old Ushana Y. Khoshaba unconscious in the road outside his mobile home.

Deputies say the man had been arguing with 46-year-old Joyce Khoshaba when she got into their car. As she started to drive away, her husband stepped in front of the car.

The woman told deputies she thought the vehicle was in reverse, but when she stepped on the accelerator, the vehicle moved forward and she struck her husband.

Pinellas homicide detectives are continuing to investigate but believe the incident was a tragic accident.
