Invited over to meet two women, an Everglades City man is accused of putting a gun to the head of one woman and demanding money and drugs.
Aaron Tost, 27, of the 500 block of Copeland Avenue, was arrested Wednesday by Collier deputies on felony charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault with deadly weapon without intent to kill.
A friend of Tost's invited him to meet his neighbors, who are sisters, because he thought he would find them attractive, according to an arrest report.
However, when Tost arrived to the sisters' home, he talked to them while standing outside the front door. He kept his hands in his pockets which led one of the sisters to ask him why, reports said.
Tost pulled a small gun from his pocket and put it to her head while demanding she give him all her money and drugs, deputies said. At the same time he attempted to force his way inside the home, deputies said.
The victim's boyfriend stepped in and pushed her out of the way of the gun, reports said. The victim told deputies she grabbed a machete and handed it to her boyfriend for protection. They told Tost they were going to call authorities, reports said.
Tost fled the scene in a red Dodge pickup truck, according to reports.
