GOLDEN GATE ESTATES —

A home in southern Golden Gate Estates was destroyed by fire Thursday.
The fire at 2640 32nd Ave. S.E. was reported at 2:47 p.m. Firefighters spent about an hour and a half putting it out, said Brandon Bunting, a battalion chief with the Golden Gate Fire Control and Rescue District.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and neighbors said they had not seen anyone at the home in a week or two, Bunting said.
As of late Thursday, the fire’s cause had not yet been determined.
