A fight in East Naples landed two 20-year-olds from Marco Island in jail Saturday morning — one for stabbing a teenage girl in the arm, another for pointing a rifle at a man, Collier County sheriff’s deputies said.
Shayne William Murray, of the 200 block of Geranium Court, and Daniel James D’Angelo, of the 1300 block of Trinidad Avenue, were arrested by deputies near the 9300 block of Marino Circle.
Deputies said Murray and D’Angelo drove to an apartment, where they started arguing at an unidentified male for an unspecified reason. The fight spilled into a parking lot, where Murray and D’Angelo got into a truck at about 2:30 a.m., an arrest report said.
Inside the truck, D’Angelo grabbed a rifle and pointed it at the combatant, deputies said.
Murray, meanwhile, pulled out a pocket knife and began making stabbing motions, the report said. When a 17-year-old girl came up to Murray’s window, she was stabbed in the right arm, deputies said.
The female victim was hospitalized with a “serious stab wound,” deputies said.
D’Angelo faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, while Murray faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and county probation violation.
