Mango's Dockside Bistro at the Esplanade made good on its saying, "We rock the rock," at its grand opening on Tuesday.

Dockside Bistro was jammed inside and out, for a more than hors d'oeuvres event.

Largely a family affair, the Dockside Bistro also paid attention to families, with games for the young ones.

Taking part in the grand opening photo were Annie and Rick Feinman, daughter Lauren, son John and grandson Frankie, along with Mike Waldren, managing partner.

Annie's family have been part of Marco since the 70s, with Annie in the first Lely High School graduating class of 1975. Her dad, Harold, ran Marco Small Engine Repairs for years.

The journey to the Esplanade began when the family opened Chef's Express in Olde Marco, a catering and takeout business that grew to a breakfast and lunch business. The family was pleased when it was offered the opportunity to relocate to the Esplanade.

With the move came a name change, mores suited to the Esplanade, Annie said.

"We wanted to have a name that was fun and cheery," she said. "We're causal, family and fun."
