The Golden Gate man who was arrested in connection with an East Naples bank robbery Tuesday now faces charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer the day before.
Wakim Stewart, 37, of 1700 41st Terrace S.W., was arrested in connection with robbery of a Bank of America branch on Davis Boulevard the following day on Fort Myers Beach.
Stewart also is accused of a shooting Monday morning at the Seminole Tribe Police Department building at 1110 S. First St. in Immokalee. No one was injured in the shooting, but one of the shots narrowly missed an officer inside, reports show.
