Editorial: Political prank really isn't funny

When we hear of grown-ups behaving badly in the political season, we tend to think of candidates.

Then there are political activists who go overboard and vandalize or steal adversaries' signs.

Though those signs might be clutter to many of us, they are costly and the property of the candidates.

Defacing or taking them isn't a mere political trick. It's breaking the law.

Zealots ought to think how it reflects on their favored candidate if caught. It can hurt.

A word to the wise ought to be sufficient, but we fear we are preaching to those who are not wise.
