— Naples reality TV show "Senior Prom," which is to showcase eight senior citizens living out the "dance of their dreams," has stumbled on its way to the television screen.

Christopher Flores, the production's director of photography, said Tuesday that he and other crew members haven't been paid for several weeks of work and are leaving the production.

"Executive producer Brian Howie has failed to meet his financial obligations to local vendors in the area and to the production crew," said Flores, contending he alone is owed $12,700.

Howie disputes there is a problem with the production.

Plans for the high-profile show include a live finale to be filmed at the Naples Philharmonic and to star Debbie Reynolds as host.

While Howie issued paychecks, Flores said he was notified by his bank that the account the checks were drawn on had insufficient funds.

Members of the "Senior Prom" production crew held a meeting Monday night in a last-ditch attempt to get their pay. They set a 2:30 p.m. Tuesday deadline for him to deliver the checks for the missed wages, but said the deadline passed with no word from Howie.

"We fired one guy, a disgruntled crew member," Howie said Tuesday. "Our crew is cyclical. We shoot every single day."

Howie said that plans are still in place for the grand finale at the Philharmonic on Aug. 25 as well as a week of shooting around Naples from Aug. 16-25.

"This has been the most rewarding production most of the crew has been part of," Howie said.

"Senior Prom" cast member Ray Marasco, reached Tuesday night, said the cast has voted as a group to continue with the show.

"I've learned how to do some moves my body never learned how to do before," Marasco said.
