Police beat: July 31, 2012

DUI arrests

Wynn Phillips, 69, of the 900 block of Ninth Street South, Naples, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at 709 Broad Ave. S. He faces an additional charge of DUI property damage.

Sergio Garcia, 51, of the 2500 block of 55th Street Southwest, Golden Gate, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at the intersection of Airport Road and Golden Gate Parkway.

Drug arrest

Maria Mercedes Cruz, 47, of the 300 block of Fillmore Street, East Naples, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at 11345 U.S. 41 E. She was accused of possessing Clonazepam pills without a prescription.

Domestic violence arrests

James Daniel Peterson, 47, of the 1900 block of North Gulf Shore Boulevard, Naples, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at 1462 Bembury Drive. He was accused of putting his ex-girlfriend in a chokehold and spitting mouthwash in her face.

Wilfrid Simeon, 19, of the 300 block of Hightower Avenue South, Lehigh Acres, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at 408 15th St. S.E. He was accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend and hitting her face.
