NAPLES — Hundreds of children accompanied by parents and friends flocked to King Richards Family Fun Park in Naples, Friday June 8, for the kick off of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Summerfest 2012. Free admission coupled with free rides for children and discounted rides for adults kept the park booming throughout the evening.
When asked what his favorite ride was in the entire park, Christian Holland, 13, stated “The Go-carts are the best”. It was obvious that many other children felt the same as the lines for the go-carts seemed to be a mile long. Other attractions include a roller coaster, bumper boats, batting cages, laser tag and a spinning Tornado ride just to name a few.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office displayed their brand new, never seen before 2012 Custom Camaro D.A.R.E. car which was purchased and custom built using funds seized through the on going battle against drugs.
There are many events and activities scheduled for the CCSO summer youth programs from June through August, for more information, visit: www.colliersheriff.org or call CCSO Youth Relations at 239-530-9741.
