DELAND — Authorities say a Central Florida roofer died after falling through a skylight and hitting the concrete floor 40 feet below.
DeLand police report that 56-year-old Pedro Alaya and two other men were working on the roof of a commercial building Thursday morning when Alaya fell.
Police say Alaya suffered head injuries and died at the scene.
