Spring Fling a night of fun at YMCA

Spring Fling 2012 comes to the Greater Marco Family YMCA Friday.

Spring Fling is a night of “Super Funtastic” games and activities for grades 3-4-5, from 5 to 7 p.m. and grades 6-7-8, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event staff will offer all of your favorite: Minute to Win It games, plus Scooter Races, Wacky Relays, Super Gigondo Dodge Ball, with awards including some great prizes. The fee is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Sign up before 5 p.m. today at the Customer Service desk and save $2 on admission. Little Tykes Flag Football begins Thursday and runs through Thursday, April 19 at the South End Football Field. The time is 5:15 to 6 p.m. The program is open to children ages 4-5-6. Coaches for the program are Mike Lampos and Armand DeCruz. Your child will learn about football and also sportsmanship and how to cooperate with others. The fee for this program is $30 for Y members and $40 for community participants.

Adventure Camp is back at the Marco YMCA from April 2 through April 6. The program is for children in grades K-5. It will be Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday (Good Friday) from 7 a.m. to noon. The YMCA will be open 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day. The fees, which include field trip and a pizza party, are $75 for the week for Marco Y members, with a $20 a day drop in fee; $85 a week for Community participants with a $25 a day drop in fee and a $7 charge for drop ins.

Afternoon BINGO for Adults on Tuesday continues through March 28. BINGO doors open at noon and games start at 1 p.m.

Finally, sign ups continue for Youth Basketball, Girls Youth Volleyball, and Youth Swim Lessons which begin Monday for two weeks and there is a few seats left for the Sony Ericsson Open Tennis Tournament Bus Trip which leaves the Y on Monday, March 28.
