PHOTOS: Marco Islanders get a close shave for charity at St. Baldrick's event

— With young and old alike raising funds and lining up for total buzz cuts on behalf of the St. Baldrick's Foundation the event held at Cathy O'Clarke's Irish Pub was a fun time and success despite the rain.

Early on one of the volunteers announced a $10,000 goal that was soon met fueled by a $1000.00 check from the Residents' Beach Bocce Ball Team.

Additional donations from participants and the house all added up.

Additionally live music was provided by Robbie Doherty and one didn't have to look far to spot a freshly poured Guinness either.
