MARCO ISLAND — With runners from both the local area and points across the country the Marco Bridge race was run under perfect early morning conditions.
A pre-sunrise start sent them on a 16-mile course traversing back and forth over the Goodland Bridge.
Winner Mike Korir originally of Kenya led the pack and finished first with a blazing time of one hour thirteen minutes and 41 seconds.
The goal of the event is both a great race and a benefit to local charities.
