MARCO ISLAND — A 17-year-old Naples male has been arrested after Marco Island police said he backed into a pole at Tommie Barfield Elementary School and left the scene.
The teen turned himself in Saturday and was charged with failing to report property damage and careless driving. He was released to his parents.
Surveillance photos captured a Chevy Camaro backing into an aluminum pole and canopy at the elementary school on March 11. Police said the arrested teen was driving his father's 1998 Chevy Camaro at the time of the crash.
