Deputies say they found more than 80 marijuana plants valued at more than $200,000 in a Golden Gate Estates home.

Francisco Valeron, 49, of the 1600 block of Eighth Street Northeast, was arrested Wednesday by Collier deputies at home.

According to reports, deputies served a search warrant on April 24 at the 2500 block of Desoto Boulevard and discovered an indoor marijuana grow operation.

Deputies said they found 87 marijuana plants, weighing 56 pounds. The marijuana plants were estimated at a value of $261,000, according to reports.

Inside the home, deputies said they also found $20,000 worth of marijuana grow equipment including: transformers, high intensity light bulbs, mylar insulation, digital scales, extra air conditioner units, and high grade fertilizer used to feel the marijuana plants.

According to reports, deputies also discovered personal items belonging to Valeron. Those items included two loaded rifles, a 12-gauge shotgun and a semi-automatic 9mm rifle. Deputies said Valeron's vehicle also was present at the home while the search warrant took place.

Valeron was arrested on felony charges of trafficking an excess of 25 pounds of marijuana, narcotic equipment paraphernalia possession, and possession of drug trafficking structure.
