One of five finalists for president of Edison State College has withdrawn her application.
Peggy Kennedy, who for the last year served as Interim President and CEO of Minnesota State Community & Technical College, was offered and accepted the permanent position. The offer came after Kennedy successfully interviewed with Edison's search committee.
Her withdrawal leaves four finalists who were selected by the search committee after interviews Monday and Tuesday. The candidates are Jeffery Allbritten, Eugene Giovannini, Eric McKeithan and Joseph Sarnovsky.
Each of the four will visit Edison's locations before interviewing with the board of trustees. The interviews are tentatively set for June 1, and trustees are expected to choose the president that same day.
