ORLANDO — A woman who authorities say was so drunk she didn't immediately realize she had run over her boyfriend has been sentenced to seven years in prison.
A judge this week also ruled that 26-year-old Allison Ryan Chambliss will serve eight years of probation after she's released and will be required to perform community service that includes teaching children about the dangers of drunk driving.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Chambliss pleaded no contest in March to DUI manslaughter in the death of Jeremy Honavar Adams. He was killed June 16, 2011.
Police say the couple was heading home from a bar when Chambliss hit Adams' motorcycle and drove two blocks before realized he wasn't in front of her. Her blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
