A East Naples man is accused of stealing another man's guitar and pawning it.

Jordan Hoyt, 30, of the 4900 block of Biscayne Drive, was arrested Wednesday by Collier County sheriff's deputies at home.

On May 9th, the victim provided deputies with a copy of her receipt for her guitar that she reported stolen, according to an arrest report.

Deputies said the next day they located the guitar at Pine Ridge Pawn and Jewelry, located at the 2000 block of Pine Ridge Road. The victim paid $170 in exchange for her guitar, reports said.

A pawn check revealed Hoyt as the suspect who pawned the guitar, according to reports. Deputies said Hoyt made a confession via the telephone and stated that he needed to steal and pawn the guitar in order to pay for his drug addiction.

Hoyt faces charges of grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and defrauding a pawnbroker.
