A panther was killed Friday in Golden Gate Estates after a collision with a vehicle, becoming the 19th recorded panther to die in Florida this year.
The four-month-old panther's remains were collected by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials Saturday morning on 18th Avenue Northeast, between Everglades Boulevard and 16th Street Northeast.
The panther is the ninth killed by a vehicle in Collier County this year.
