— Police are clearing a toppled crane that landed across the northbound lane of U.S. 41 near Third Avenue South.

Todd Brooks, owner of Brooks Burgers, said the crane was being used to put brick shingles on the new Robb and Stucky Building across the street from his restaurant. Nobody was hurt and no cars were damaged when the crane fell at about 3:15 p.m., Brooks said.

"It's right by the light. I can't believe there wasn't a car stopped there," Brooks said.

Naples police couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
