The Charlotte and Lemon Bay football teams grabbed the two playoff spots in Class 7A-District 11 in a three-way tiebreaker on Monday in Port Charlotte.
The Tarpons, Manta Rays, and host Pirates all finished with 2-1 district records; Gulf Coast, the fourth team in the district, was 0-3.
Charlotte defeated Lemon Bay, 7-6, then Port Charlotte, 10-7, in separate quarters to win, and clinch a home playoff game. In the third quarter, Lemon Bay beat the Pirates, 14-0, to clinch the district runner-up spot.
Lemon Bay will play at Fort Pierce Central, and Charlotte will play host to Stuart-Martin County in the playoffs on Nov. 16.
