Waste Management Inc. of Florida has recognized the Waldorf Astoria Naples as the Commercial Recycler of the Month.

The award recognizes office building owners and managers, hoteliers and restaurateurs who have achieved significant results in reducing solid waste and whose leadership, policies and programs demonstrate a commitment to the environment. One example was how the Waldorf sent 700 mattresses to a specialty contractor to be recycled instead of throwing them away in Collier County's landfill.
