Lee deputies bust two marijuana grow houses

Lee County sheriff's deputies detected and dismantled two marijuana grow houses during an operation on Wednesday.

Deputies executed a search warrant at 14590 Briar Lane in Fort Myers where they discovered 170 marijuana plants, according to a news release. During the operation they arrested Alejandro Sanchez-Bahena, 35, on charges of trafficking in marijuana, producing marijuana and possession of drug equipment.

Deputies also located and seized three rifles and a pistol at the Fort Myers home.

Deputies also executed a search warrant at 913 Richmond Ave. N. and discovered 65 marijuana plants inside, reports said. They arrested Humberto Garcia, 30, on charges of trafficking in marijuana, producing marijuana, tampering with utility equipment and possession of a structure known to manufacture drugs with a minor present.
