A Broward County man accused of leading Collier County sheriff's deputies on a chase that ended in a crash Tuesday afternoon now faces a felony charge of fleeing an officer.

Deputies said O'Brian Vebert Hunt, 21, sped off when they tried to stop him for illegally tinted windows Tuesday on Interstate 75. After driving at speeds near 110 to 115 mph, Hunt stopped near the 86 mile marker of Alligator Alley, an arrest report said.

A deputy pulled in behind him on the right shoulder, but an approaching truck couldn't stop in time and hit the other two vehicles.

Hunt, of Deerfield Beach, faces charges of fleeing police with a disregard for safety and driving while license suspended or revoked. He is also named on Broward County warrants for possession of marijuana and oxycodone, an arrest report said.
