Chuck, Wally and Bob Rietz like to live a bit on the wild side.

This time it was parasailing, all at the same time!

Chuck, 92, Wally, 89 and Bob, 82, harnessed up for a flight in the wild blue yonder above Marco Beach on Wednesday morning. Shawn Peters, lead parasail captain for Marco Island Water Sports, guided them on a clear, beautiful Marco morning.

Peter Rietz, Chuck's son, has a home on the island and arranged the adventure with Mark Bahr, owner of Marco Island Water Sports.

Peter showed the three the movie "The Bucket List," where Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman portray older men making a list of things they want to do before moving on.

Wally, Chuck and Bob agreed and the adventure was on.

Bahr thinks it might even be some kind of a record since the three went together and their cumulative age is 263 years.

Not only did they parasail, Bob and wife Nancy, as part of their 60th wedding anniversary, parasailed.

Actually, Nancy had planned on parasailing on her own next year, but Bob asked if she would want to have the experience as part their anniversary.

"It was scary at first, but awesome," she said. "We saw dolphins below us in the water."

Bob said, "I had no qualms in doing it. It was exciting and thoroughly safe."

Chuck, is retired from ILG Industries, that has provided more than 3,700 fans for McDonald's alone. Wally is a retired general manager of Weyerhaeuser Co., one of the largest pulp and paper companies in the world. Bob is a retired plant manager of Pittsburgh Plate and Glass.

"I just thought it would be fun," Wally said. "After all I zip-lined in the jungles of Costa Rica."
