MIAMI — Police have arrested the estranged husband of a woman who was found dead in a closet with her two young daughters.
Miami-Dade police said Tuesday that 28-year-old Alberto Luis Sierra has been charged with first-degree murder and separate counts of sexual battery on an adult and on a child under 12.
The bodies of 29-year-old Gladys Del Carmen Sierra and two of her children, 4-year-old Daniela Padrino and 6-year-old Julia Padrino, were found Nov. 13 inside the home where they had once lived with Sierra. Police say a neighbor with access to the house found them.
Police have not said how the victims died. No further details were immediately available.
