ATV rider airlifted to hospital after rollover crash

An all-terrain vehicle rider was airlifted to the hospital Saturday night after he was involved in a rollover crash.

The crash occurred in Hendry County, Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Michelle Batten said. Another person attempted to drive the rider to the hospital, but the rider passed out while passing through Collier County.

Emergency responders located the ATV rider near the entrance to Ave Maria near Oil Well Road. The victim's name, medical status and additional details about the crash were not immediately available.
