UPDATE: The majority of the money stolen during a robbery Thursday in Golden Gate has been recovered, according to Collier County Sheriff's detectives.

Detectives are looking for other suspects, and the investigation continues.

Collier County sheriff’s deputies have arrested one of two men who they say robbed a Golden Gate bank Wednesday morning.

Doodley Nazaire, 29, of the 5400 block of Laurel Ridge Lane, Golden Gate, was charged with bank robbery Thursday afternoon. Details about how investigators identified and located Nazaire were not immediately clear.

The robbery was reported just before 8 a.m. at Florida Community Bank, 5240 Golden Gate Parkway. One of the robbers displayed a handgun to bank employees. They were given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

Nazaire has been picked up in Collier and Lee counties about a dozen times over the past decade, accused of armed robbery, disorderly conduct and several charges of failure to appear and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

He spent about 13 months in state prison following a 2008 conviction for driving without a licnese, records show.
