Deputies investigating shots fired at SUV

Collier County sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of a man firing shots at a woman driving friends and her infant son in Golden Gate early Saturday.

The 25-year-old woman told deputies she was driving two men, a woman and her 6-month-old son around 4:30 a.m. when a man on the 4600 block of 26th Place Southwest began shooting at her sport utility vehicle.

Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots in rapid succession. Detectives later found a single bullet hole through the rear left window of the Chevrolet Tahoe.

The suspect was described in reports as a 5-foot, 4-inch man in a black shirt and blue jeans. Reports did not indicate if the woman or her passengers knew him.
