Collier County Clerk of Courts Dwight Brock is offering a seminar to teach citizens how to investigate people and businesses by using his office's website, collierclerk.com.
Brock will demonstrate how to find court records, official records such as deeds or mortgages, homeowner association documents and more. He also will show attendees how to use other online resources to pay a traffic ticket, file a tenant eviction, small claims case, and other functions.
In addition to search capabilities, the website lists requirements for passport applications, how to apply for a marriage license and how to check jury duty numbers.
The seminar from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 will highlight many online services designed to assist people from the convenience of their own home. Anyone can ask questions at the seminar, which will be at the county library headquarters on Orange Blossom Drive.
To sign up, go to the library website, http://bit.ly/cZ78TI or call (239) 593-0177. To print records search instructions, go to collierclerk.com.
