Lee County detectives are looking for help identifying a couple that bought two iPads with stolen credit cards last month.

On Sept. 14, deputies were called to the 9000 block of Estero River Circle in Estero, where a woman’s car had been broken into. The woman said she called the Sheriff’s Office after her bank informed her of several fraudulent charges on her credit cards.

Detectives later learned that the thieves purchased items at the Edison Mall in Fort Myers and a Target in Cape Coral, where they bought the iPads for a total of about $1,000.

Investigators have copies of surveillances images but have been unable to identify the suspects. Anyone with information on the couple’s identity is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 239-477-1000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
