Police: Student struck by lightning

FORT MYERS - Officials with the Fort Myers Police Department say a student at Southwest Florida Christian Academy was hospitalized after he was hit by lightning.

Police say the boy was originally taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center, but has since been transferred to HealthPark.

Officials we spoke to say the student is in intensive care, but is breathing on his own.
