Lee County EMS Chief Kim Dickerson has resigned one week after she was placed on administrative leave amid the Medstar meltdown.
Dickerson's resignation was announced in an email to EMS employees. It comes on the heels of a County Manager report which states top EMS administrators knew about personnel problems within Medstar which were never relayed to county administration.
Dickerson is the second top administrator to leave Lee County Public Safety after a series of NBC2 Investigations into the Medstar shutdown. Former Public Safety Director John Wilson retired one week ago after serving Lee County for 27 years.
