An East Naples man was behind bars Tuesday, accused of breaking into a woman's house and later pawning her laptop.

Collier deputies were called to a Golden Gate home on the 4200 block of 32nd Avenue Southwest in June after a woman reported the burglary. The home was broken into through a screen door on the rear lanai, according to an arrest report.

Detectives were able to trace the woman's stolen MacBook to a pawn shop, where employees said Lazaro Roberto Martinez had brought the computer.

Martinez, 19, later told investigators he was unemployed at the time of the burglary and that he did not know the people who lived at the Golden Gate home. He said he would be willing to pay back the victim, according to reports.

Martinez, of the 5500 block of Hardee Street, East Naples, faces charges of burglary, grand theft, dealing in stolen property and defrauding a pawnbroker.
