Bill Black is to speak at Police Foundation Luncheon

— The Marco Police Foundation recently announced that Bill Black will be the featured speaker at its “Lunch with the Chief” on Oct. 17.

Black has 20-plus years with the federal three-letter intelligence agencies, has worked with state, local, county and federal law enforcement agencies and is currently a special consultant to the Special Operations Command in Tampa, CIA and FBI. He is an expert on all areas of covert surveillance.

Black will be speaking on activities of the intelligence agencies.

Foundation President Bill Morris stated “with the increasing problems of terrorism, both around the globe and at home, Mr. Black’s speech couldn’t be timelier. He is an expert on information gathering which has been an important part of the fight against terrorism.”

The public is invited to attend Lunch with the Chief at Hideaway Beach Club, 11:30 a.m., Oct. 17.

The lunch will also introduce a number of recent additions to Marco’s Police Department and the Storm Delay drawing for a 2012 Yamaha Zuma Scooter.
