Koval joins Prudential

Prudential Florida Realty recently welcomed one of the most respected and successful Realtors in the Marco Island area. Mari-Jo Koval, formerly with Re/Max Results Realty, has joined Prudential Florida Realty as a broker associate.

"We are very proud to have Mari-Jo join our team of successful associates," said George Percel, managing broker. "She will now be able to extend to her long list of satisfied customers the stability of a company serving the Marco Island area for more than 30 years and the benefits of our wide range of products and services," said Percel.

Koval moved to the Marco Island area more than 15 years ago and she successfully transferred her outstanding career in the real estate industry that she first established in Naperville, Illinois.

Koval has earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations from the National Association of Realtors as well as specialized training to serve as a relocation specialist.

Salon hosts educational day

Keeping up with the latest hair styles can be tricky. But for Susan Parcelles, owner of Shear Play Hair Designs, and her staff, the task is all play.

The salon hosted an educational day recently with Kell Grace, a stylist, makeup artist and wig maker, who is a designer and educator for Martin Parsons, world-renowned celebrity up-do stylist.

Parcelles first met Grace at the International Hair Convention in Orlando two years ago, after attending a Martin Parsons' class. She ran into her again recently at a hands on hair cutting class in Naples.

Grace agreed to come to Shear Play and share her expertise in the latest up-do braid styles. In as little as three hoursher salon team as well as salon owner Karen Tucker, and a few of her staff from Planet Hair in Naples also atteneded.

Parcelles said having classes like these spark excitement and creativity and the possibilities are endless when it comes to up-dos for the holidays, special occasions or even just for every day.

Parcelles promises more educational classes in the future.

Poling Medical Center welcomes Morgan

The Poling Medical Center recently announced that Jacqueline Morgan has joined the group practice.

Morgan has a degree of Master of Science as a family practice nurse practitioner from Florida Gulf Coast University along with eight years of nursing experience in the Naples/Marco area.

Morgan is qualified and certified by the state of Florida as a Family Practice primary care provider. She will work closely with the three existing providers: Patricia Poling, MD; Robert Poling, MD; and Rhonda Haley, also an ARNP.

The Poling Medical Center utilizes a team approach. The team approach allows all providers to have access to a patient's complete medical record regardless of which provider the patient last saw. By operating as a team the patients have greater flexibility in scheduling appointments without sacrificing continuity of care.

Morgan "choose to work in the healthcare field because of the challenges and rewards. It's a great reward to help someone that looks to you for guidance."

Doc Patty remarked that "we selected Jacquie to join our practice because she is focused on practicing the same high quality of medicine that we are committed to provide to our patients."

Convention and visitors bureau honored

The Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau was recognized recently at Visit Florida's annual Flagler Awards competition in Orlando. The event honors top tourism marketing initiatives at the Florida Governor's Conference on Tourism.The bureau won the top award in the Internet advertising category; a silver award in the resource promotional/trade category; and a bronze award in the mobile marketing category. A panel of five judges evaluated the creativity, innovation, production quality and effectiveness of each entry. Information: www.paradisecoast.com
