A Golden Gate man was arrested early Monday at a local bar after a Collier County sheriff's deputy said he threatened him with a pool cue.
Around 12:30 a.m., deputies went to El Amanecer Bar, 4967 Golden Gate Parkway, after employees said a customer, later identified as Antonio Garcia, 37, was causing a disturbance with others in the bar.
When a deputy began to approach him, Garcia took a pool cue from a man's hand and faced the deputy in a way that made the officer "immediately in fear of my safety," according to an arrest report.
The deputy grabbed Garcia's collar, handcuffed him and arrested him for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, the report said.
As of Tuesday, Garcia, of the 2300 block of 50th Street Southwest, remained at the Naples Jail Center in lieu of $20,000 bond.
