Two Miami men were arrested Tuesday in Lee County after deputies said they were caught with counterfeit credit cards programmed with stolen information.

Around 8 p.m., deputies pulled over a Dodge Durango for changing lanes without signaling near mile marker 116 on Interstate 75, according to a news release. When they searched the vehicle, they found a gram of marijuana and 15 fraudulent credit cards, the release said.

Investigators said the cards contained information stolen from victims of identity theft.

Yonsley Ruiz, 35, and Adalberto Rodriguez, 32, each face charges of marijuana possession and passing a counterfeit credit card. Deputies said the men had already purchased $2,000 in merchandise and were on the interstate for the purpose of using the fake cards.
