Lee detectives no longer investigating home invasion

Lee County sheriff's detectives are no longer investigating a Bonita Springs home invasion robbery from late Wednesday.

Officials said the victim contacted them and said she did not want to press charges.

The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. on the 4000 block of Springs Lane. The victim said two suspects dressed in black forced their way inside the home, showed a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The case does not appear related to another home invasion robbery reported around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday on the 26000 block of London Lane, deputies said.
