Taylor earns Real Estate Broker's License
Larry Taylor of The Sandlin Team at RE/MAX Results Realty recently passed the Florida Real Estate Broker's Exam.
"I have had my Real Estate license since 2008 and wanted to further my knowledge by obtaining the Broker's License" said Taylor. The intensive education in the Broker Courses focused on Principles and Practices, Law, Finances, Investment Analysis, Appraising Practices, and more.
Taylor has been a Florida Certified Building Contractor since 1983 and has built over 150 homes on Marco Island.
"I'm now a full time Realtor. My customers really enjoy having a construction expert help them in selecting their home," Taylor said.

Condo and HOA industry experts at 2012 Board Members' Summit
The 2012 board members' summit, hosted by Sandcastle Community Management, will be held at 4 p.m., Oct. 25 in the Pelican Bay Community Center, 8960 Hammock Oak Drive, Naples.
The summit will feature some of Florida's leading condominium and homeowners assocation insdustry experts in the areas of law, accounting and insurance.
Speakers will include Joseph Adams, the managing shareholder of Becker & Poliakoff and member of Florida Trend magazine's "legal elite" and noted author of the News-Press' weekly segment "Community Life." Adams will speak on "Avoiding board member liability – covering your assets!"
John Stroemer and Russ Panks of Stroemer & Co. P.A., one of Florida's most distiguished CPA 2012 board members' summit firms that serve the condo and HOA industry will speak on the "the good, the bad and the ugly – is your association at risk?".
Rounding out the summit will be representatives from Insurance Risk Management Services (IRMS) to speak on "Headaches to migranes – Simple risk management solutions to reduce the pain."
Entertainment for the summit will be provided by the Vanderbilt Strings comprised of members of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, and Brian Scott, a certified master wine sommelier who will lead attendees through a wine tasting tour!

Free dental care to active and retired military service persons on Nov. 10
Bonita Dental Care and Marco Dental Care will be providing free dental treatment to active and retired military in honor of Veteran's Day on Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bonita Springs location. The office is located at 8951 Bonita Beach Rd., Suite 206, Bonita Springs.
Dental Care's doctors, hygienists and staff will be volunteering their time to provide one dental service to those active and retired service men and women who show their military id, dog tags or V.A. card.
Services provided will be a filling, an extraction or a teeth cleaning.
Dr. C.M. Wallace, an owner of Bonita Dental Care stated "growing up the son of career Colonel in the Marines, I understand first hand how hard these people work for us to keep us safe and we wanted to do something for them for all they have done and continue to do for us.

Brixmor Property Group recently announced the reopening of a 2,300 square foot Breakfast Plus at Marco Town Center, located at the northeast corner of North Collier Boulevard and Bald Eagle Drive in Marco Island.

Marco Island Yacht Club welcomes new clubhouse manager Thomas Leonard
Thomas M. Leonard, a 30-plus year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been named clubhouse manager at the Marco Island Yacht Club (MIYC), effective immediately.
In his new role, he will be responsible to oversee all daily operations of the prestigious waterfront yacht club and provide leadership and guidance to a dynamic management team and staff.
Leonard returns to Marco Island after spending the past five years with Food & Company Caterers in East Hampton, NY, where his business and leadership acumen and keen taste for exceptional food elevated service standards, reduced costs and expanded profits. Before that, he spent several years at Montauk Yacht Club, Hotel, Resort and Marina in Montauk, NY as assistant General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage, where he led a staff of 80.
"Tom brings widespread expertise facilitating both simple and complex member functions and banquet events," says Lisa Luft, MIYC Membership Director. "He will work closely with members in booking a limited number of large events and club functions to enhance our Club's reputation for memorable weddings and private parties," she continues.
Born in Mahopac, NY, Leonard is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park and a post-graduate of the exclusive, invitation-only Four Seasons Apprenticeship Program. He began his culinary career as an executive chef at the Woodway Country Club & Beach Club in Darien, CT and then moved to New York City with stretches as sous chef at The Rainbow Room and executive sous chef at the legendary Palace Hotel.
In 1985, Leonard moved to Marco Island to become director of food and beverage at the Radisson Suite Beach Resort. After that, he moved to Naples to own and operate two restaurants in Naples – the Third Street Café (now Campiello's) in the downtown historic district and Basil's Restaurant and Catering in King's Lake Center. In 2004, Leonard joined Eagle Creek Golf & Country Club as Director of Food & Beverage.
The Marco Island Yacht Club is open from lunch Wednesday through Saturday 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday Champagne Brunch from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Prime Rib Night is every Thursday and Happy Hour is every Friday from 5 until 7 p.m.
