An East Naples man is accused of trying to stab his father and threatening to kill his sister early Thursday.
Francis Isme, 26, told Collier County sheriff's deputies he hated his father and wanted to kill his sister because she "kept playing games," according to an arrest report.
Isme's father said he let Isme into his home on the 4700 block of Verity Lane shortly after midnight and then went back to sleep. He awoke to Isme standing over him and trying to stab him with a knife, reports said.
The father said he called out to other family members in the home, who then came into the bedroom to help. The father's hand and leg were cut while he was trying to defend himself, reports said.
Deputies later found an 8-inch knife blade on the bed and a knife handle in between the bed and the wall. Isme's father said he believed his son was under the influence of illegal drugs "that causes him to do things that he would not normally do," a deputy wrote in a report.
Isme faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
