PHOTOS: YMCA and JCMI join up for five-hour sale

— Say you were in the market for a handbag. Some inexpensive bracelets or watches. Miscellaneous ceramics, $10 tutus, or a windup ballerina doll. Perhaps you need a Cuisinart, a hair dryer, or any in a wide range of mah jongg accessories.

For these and an eclectic range of accessories, puzzles, trivets, games and tchotchkes, the Five-Hour Sale starting Monday morning at the YMCA. Hosted in the Y's gymnasium, the sale was organized and presented by the ladies of the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island. The slogan for the event was "holiday gift bargains for the whole family," and the Y and JCMI will share in the proceeds.

While the sale went on in one half of the Y's indoor gymnasium, the other half was bustling with exercise classes, including a high-energy cardio-strength workout led by instructor Carole Shea. If you didn't make it Monday, fear not. The Five-Hour Sale has a second coming, starting at 8 a.m., Dec. 3.
