Two Collier County men were arrested Wednesday after Collier detectives said they found marijuana inside mail packages.

One package, which contained a peanut butter jar, filled with marijuana was shipped from California to the home in the 4000 block of Belair Lane in Naples. Michael Paul Hunt, 46, whose address is listed as the St. Matthew's House homeless shelter, faces a charge of marijuana smuggling.

The other package contained more than five pounds of marijuana valued at $17,000, according to an arrest report. It also was shipped from California to a home on the 2700 block of Second Street Northwest.

Deiby Perez, 29, who lives at the home, allowed the detectives to search inside the garage, where they found another package with 359 grams of marijuana, ledgers, a scale and heat-sealed bags. Perez faces charges of marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and marijuana possession with intent to sell.
