CASSELBERRY — Authorities say a motorcyclist was killed when a passing vehicle hit him shortly after he fell of his bike on a Central Florida road.
Casselberry police spokesman William Nas told the Orlando Sentinel that the man stood up and was taking off his helmet when he stepped into another lane late Thursday. That's when he was hit by a sport utility vehicle.
Witnesses told police it looked like the SUV's driver swerved to avoid the motorcycle and hit the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and was not harmed.
No further details were immediately available.
