An Immokalee man is accused of threatening an acquaintance with a knife, telling him he would kill him and feed him to a dog.

Reports said the victim was sitting in his yard under a tree on the 400 block of South First Street in Immokalee when Sonny Owens, 65, approached him and asked for money. When the man said he did not have any, Owens got mad, grabbed him and pushed him to the ground, an arrest report said.

Owens then pulled out a pocket knife, pointed it at the man's stomach and told him he would kill him with the knife and feed him to the dog, Collier deputies said.

Owens, of the 200 block of South First Street, faces charges of battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
