1. JUDGE DENIES GAG ORDER IN ZIMMERMAN CASE: A Florida judge is denying prosecutors' request for a gag order in the trial of a neighborhood watch captain charged with fatally shooting Trayvon Martin. The judge says there is no need for a gag order at this time to ensure a fair trial for George Zimmerman.
2. MARION COUNTY WOMAN DIAGNOSED WITH MENINGITIS: A 69-year-old Marion County woman is the latest person in Florida to be diagnosed with meningitis because of a tainted steroid shot. Department of Health officials on Monday said the woman is the 23rd person in the state to be diagnosed with meningitis. The woman received the tainted shots at the Florida Pain Clinic in Ocala, Fla.
3. FLORIDA REGULATOR GETTING UPDATE ON NUCLEAR PLANT: Public Service Commissioner Eduardo Balb is getting an update on Progress Energy Florida's crippled nuclear power plant at Crystal River. The plant has been down since 2009 when its concrete containment building cracked during a maintenance and upgrade project.
4. HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN TRASH AT LAKE WORTH HOME: An autopsy is planned on human remains found in a garbage bag in Palm Beach County. Deputies responded Monday to reports of a suspicious odor at an abandoned house in Lake Worth.
5. 1 DEAD, 1 CHARGED AFTER APARTMENT EXPLOSION: One man is dead and another is facing charges following what authorities believe was a meth lab explosion in Niceville in the Florida Panhandle.
