Building on the success of the Madlax-Florida All-Star teams during the summer, Madlax is ready to take the next step in developing youth lacrosse players from the Southwest Florida area. Fall tryouts are Sept. 16. at Barron Collier. open to boys ages 9 to 18. Weekly practices run into December.
Madlax-Florida All-Stars capped off a successful summer with the U13 White team winning the Sunshine Cup/IMG tournament, going 4-0 in the event.
The Madlax U17 team finished second in the FLG 3D tournament in Maryland in late July, competing against top national club teams from New York, Texas, Maryland and Connecticut.
The Madlax U19 team competed well in every tournament it entered in the state, finishing with a 12-7 record on the summer — all while having college coaches scout and recruit top players like Hunter Krout and Michael Nathan.
Players from Barron Collier, Gulf Coast, Golden Gate, Lely, Community School, Palmetto Ridge and Estero participated.
